CÂM OPENS ONE OF THE FIRST ‘REAL DAIRY’ FACTORIES IN NIGERIA

In 2018, we approached award-winning architects ANA Design. The India-based firm is known for sustainable and innovative commercial builds (including two dairy factories in India) and Nigeria’s waterfront leisure destination, Landmark Boulevard, in Lagos. Our goal was to design a custom-equipped factory capable of turning more than 1,000 litres of raw dairy per hour into fresh milk and yoghurts.

Early Days at Câm – In Conversation with Jonathan Njoku

Jonathan was one of the original Câmpions. He was part of a small team that believed in our ambition to create a dairy industry in Nigeria when most people said it was impossible. As one of the first in the door, he remembers the early starts, late nights, constant challenges and endless optimism required to get Câm up and running.

He was there when we signed our first contract with a pastoralist, he helped to project manage the build of our factory in Abuja, and he celebrated with us when we sold our first jar of Greek Style Yoghurt. As the team expanded, he eventually found his place as the logistics and distribution lead. We caught up with him to talk about the journey so far.
